Anti-virus software
To help you protect yourself when you bank online, we offer free antivirus software to all our Internet Banking and Cellphone Banking customers.
At Absa, we are very serious about security – especially when it comes to protecting you while you transact online; which is why we offer our customers free antivirus software each year.
The latest software version, Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security Antivirus 2012 (from Secure Data), is available to all Internet Banking and Cellphone Banking (via WAP) customers for download , and will be valid for 365 days from the date of activation.
How do you register for and install the software onto your computer or Cellphone?
- Sign-on to the antivirus registration page using your Internet Banking access account number, user ID and PIN.
- The system will request you to key in your information.
- The system will provide you with a serial number.
- This number must be used with the CD (for computer) or download process (with both the computer and cellphone) to install and activate the antivirus software.
Before installing the software, ensure that:
- Your computer/cellphone meets the antivirus’ system requirements
- The installation file has been downloaded correctly/completely
- All other antivirus programs have been uninstalled
Remember: You must register for a serial number before installing the software. You can find the serial number at the Absa Antivirus Centre.
