Linking your account to Absa Online is easy - simply request it when you open an account or register here. From there, you’ll be able to manage and edit your Internet banking profile whenever you want to, from wherever you are.

  • How to register for Absa Online banking

    • Go to the Absa Online Registration page 
    • Enter your 16 digit ATM card number and your ATM PIN number and click on the 'Next' button
    • If you only have one account, your relevant access account number will be pre-populated
    • If you have multiple accounts, select the applicable account number from our dropdown menu
    • Enter your email address
    • Enter your 10-digit cellphone number
    • Your title, surname and name will be pre-populated
    • Your identity number will also be pre-populated
    • Check the 'I accept Terms of Use' box and click 'Next'
    • Under the 'Absa Online Security Information' section, choose a strong 5-digit Personal Identity Number (PIN)
    • Confirm the PIN for Absa Online
    • Click 'Register'
    • SureCheck will be delivered to the cellphone number on our records
    • Confirm the transaction as instructed in the message sent to your cellphone
    • You will now be registered to use Absa Online

    Please note that if your cellphone number is not in our records, you will not have a full registration with RVN delivery and default limits setup. To setup RVN and increase the limits simply visit your nearest branch.

  • Forgotten or blocked password

    • Visit www.absa.co.za and logon to Absa Online
    • Enter your access account number, PIN number, user number and click 'Proceed'
    • If you have forgotten your password or if your password is blocked, click 'Forgot your password'
    • Surecheck/RVN will be delivered to the cellphone number on our records
    • Confirm the transaction as instructed in the message sent to your cellphone
    • Read the password rules, enter a new password (which you’ll be asked to confirm), then click 'Next' to proceed
    • Your password will now be changed and you should be able to login to Absa Online
  • Control your Absa Online service

    You can also control your Absa Online service by:

    • Viewing your Absa Online costs
    • Changing which account will be billed for Absa Online
    • Changing your account limits
    • Cancelling your Absa Online service
    • Changing your language preference
  • Which security features can be controlled?

    There are a number of security features that you can manage and update with ease, such as:
    • Reviewing your access account number
    • Linking/unlinking accounts to Absa Online for all your accounts, share trading and Absa Investment Management Services accounts
    • Managing the main users and operators of the account by viewing their details and logged history
    • Load more users onto your Absa Online profile
    • Manage the transactional authorisation on your accounts
    • Change your PIN, password and SurePhrase responsibly
    • Control and change your Absa Online limits
    • You can also review the log of the activity that has happened on your Absa Online service including when users logged on, sent RVNs, added new beneficiaries, etc.
  • Manage eStatements and NotifyMe

    • Register, view and manage NotifyMe settings for your linked accounts
    • Register, view and manage your eStatement settings for your linked accounts
