  • 1. How secure are VezoPay wearable rings?

    VezoPay wearables are highly secure due to:

    • EMV accreditation: Rigorously tested and accredited by Visa and Mastercard.
    • Tokenisation: Sensitive user credentials are not stored on the device. Instead, unique tokens are used to prevent skimming.
    • Control and monitoring: You can pause or stop your wearable via the VezoPay App or by contacting your bank if it’s lost or suspicious activity occurs.
    • Physical interaction required: Payments require holding the terminal steady for at least two seconds with your finger in a specific position.
    • PIN for added security: A PIN is required for transactions exceeding a certain limit.

  • 2. What happens if my VezoPay ring is lost or stolen?

    Pause or block your ring immediately using the VezoPay App or by contacting your bank. Your data remains protected because no credentials are stored on the device.

  • 3. Can a thief hack or skim my device remotely?

    No, the ring operates offline and uses encrypted token technology.

  • 4. Can someone steal my ring and use it?

    While someone can physically take your ring, they cannot use it above a preset limit without your card’s PIN. Additional security measures on the App, like card suspension/disable, enhance protection. Personal information is not physically written on the device

  • 5. Is it safe to register my ring online or enter card details on the VezoPay App/website?

    Yes, registering and entering card details through the official VezoPay App or website is secure and encrypted. VezoPay doesn’t store personal information, credentials or bank card details. VezoPay partners with Fidesmo, a PCI DSS-compliant European token requester, and works with Visa and Mastercard, utilising advanced encryption protocols.

  • 6. Can a thief in passing skim the credentials from my VezoPay ring?

    No. The ring has no visible personal information and your actual card details are not stored on it. Instead, a token is used. Even if the data were somehow skimmed, it would only be a useless random string of digits from the token.

  • 7. If my wearable device is lost or stolen, what do I do?

    • Pause or block your ring immediately via the VezoPay pp or by contacting your bank. Since no credentials are stored on the device, your data remains protected.

    • If you’re unable to access your cellphone or other mobile device, contact your bank and request them to stop or block your VezoPay token. This action will immediately lock your ring and prevent any unauthorised transactions on your wearable device.

  • 8. Should I be worried about radiation emitted by the ring?

    • The VezoPay ring uses near-field communication (NFC) technology for payments, which is a form of low-power, non-ionising electromagnetic wave.

    • More importantly, the ring is a passive device. It does not have its own battery or power source, therefore it cannot emit anything. It is equivalent to a payment card in terms of not emitting radiation.

  • 9. What are the other health and safety considerations?

    • The VezoPay ring is designed with health and safety in mind. It uses hypoallergenic materials on the skin-contact surface and robust, skin-friendly materials like stainless steel or ceramic on the exterior, making it safe and comfortable for continuous, daily wear.
    
• Those with gold allergies should avoid the 18-carat gold variants.
    
• It’s important to keep your ring out of reach of small children, as it can be a choking hazard.
