    Activate your Absa virtual card:

    1. Log in to your Absa Banking App
    2. Tap Cards at the bottom of your screen
    3. Select Virtual, then tap Create virtual card
    4. Select the card you want to link and Purpose of card, Tap Next
    5. Add your card to Google Pay, Apple Pay or Samsung Pay
    6. You’re ready to pay contactless!

    • Join Absa Rewards member if you’re not a member already
    • Pay with your digital wallet, use your Absa Visa debit or credit card online or make a contactless payment at selected Rewards Partners.
    • Use any of the following digital wallets and payment methods:
      • Samsung Pay
      • Apple Pay
      • Google Pay
      • Garmin Pay
      • Fitbit Pay
      • Virtual card
      • Card-not-present (CNP)/Online card transactions.

  • Who qualifies?

    To qualify for the campaign, you must be:

    • Absa Rewards member
    • A South African citizen, hold a South African identity document and live in the Republic of South Africa
    • Provide correct and full personal contact details, as required;
    • 18 years old or older;
    • An Absa accountholder in good standing
    • Do a minimum of five card transactions (contactless, digital or online payment) for the month.

    • Travellers cheques
