  • Who can enter

    To enter you must:
     

    • Have downloaded the latest version of the Absa Banking App
    • Be 18 years or older
    • Be South African citizens residing in South Africa or a temporary resident with a valid passport and permit
    • Be an eligible Absa Personal and/or Private Banking customer with an account in good standing.

  • Good to know

    • You can spin up to three times a week. 
    • Each campaign week runs from Monday to Sunday
    • You can win one instant prize during the campaign
    • Keep spinning after you’ve won, but you won’t be eligible for another instant prize.

  • Terms and conditions

    Business Banking customers, sole proprietors, deceased estates, operators, foreign nationals and bank employees

  • What is the Spin & Win competition?

    Spin & Win is a promotional campaign/competition available in your Absa Banking App version 26.8.0 and above, where eligible customers can spin a digital wheel for a chance to win prizes.

  • When does the competition run?

    The competition period runs from 15 September 2026 to 30 November 2026, inclusive of both dates.

  • Who can participate?

    Customers must:

    • Be 18 years or older
    • Be South African citizens residing in South Africa or a temporary resident with a valid passport and permit
    • Be an eligible Absa Personal and/or Private Banking customer with an account in good standing
    • Have downloaded the Absa Banking App.

  • Who is excluded from participating?

    The following customers are excluded:

    • Absa staff
    • Customers on the ultra-sensitive list
    • Operators
    • Business Banking customers
    • Sole proprietors
    • Deceased estates

  • I can’t find the wheel to play Spin & Win – how do I play?

    If you are a qualifying entrant, you will be able to play from one of 3 notifications you will receive: a push notification sent to your Absa Banking App (version 26.8.0 and above), a banner on the home page or an overlay pop-up message in your Banking App. You need to tap on one of these notifications to get redirected to the wheel to play Spin & Win. You will have a maximum of 3 spins a week.

    

    New to Bank customers will only receive a push notification for the first week after joining, after which they will then also receive a banner and overlay.

  • How often can I play?

    Customers can spin a maximum of 3 times per week. Banners and overlays will be visible Monday to Thursday.

  • Does the spin happen automatically when I log in?

    No. Customers must actively tap on a notification entry point (banner or overlay) and then tap the green Spin button on the wheel to start the spin.

  • How are winners selected?

    Winners are selected through a randomizer built into the Spin & Win feature. Prize allocations are completely random.

  • What prizes can customers win?

    Prizes include:

    Customers will be informed immediately after a successful spin of the wheel. Winners will be informed of their prize details via their App within 3 business days.
