    • We’re committed to ensuring that you enjoy the best digital experience in business banking. That’s why we’ve developed Absa Mobile Pay, a tap-and-pay feature for Android smartphones, where Near Field Communication (NFC) transactions can be made safely, quickly, and easily. 
    • This turns your mobile phone into a Point of Sale (POS) device – giving you, the businessperson, the ability to accept contactless Visa and Mastercard payments on your smartphone. What a game changer!
  • Get started

    • To register for Absa Mobile Pay, please contact 0860 111 222 or contactmerc@absa.co.za.
    • Within 48 to 72 hours of submission of forms, you will receive a welcome mailer with verification code.
    • Download the Absa Mobile Pay app from the Google Play Store.
    • Enter your verification code in the Absa Mobile Pay app to start accepting payments.

    • No upfront costs
    • 2.25% per transaction

    • No monthly rental to be paid for devices
    • No call out fees for terminal repairs
    • Convert your mobile device into a tap and pay
  • Compatible devices

    • Android - Near Field Communication (NFC) capable mobile devices can accept transactions.
    • The Android phone will have to run Android Version 7 software or above.
    • Contactless Visa and Mastercard qualify.
    • Get paid wherever you do business.

  • What do I do if my phone gets stolen?

    Please contact the call centre to reprovision the cellphone number of the stolen phone. A new verification needs to be generated and sent. This process will take 48 to 72 hours.
