Two bedrooms, materials very loosely defined, combined living area and kitchen (wash basin - could be fitted outside, and electricity supply), one flushing toilet, no ceilings, bagged walls, construction done by certified builders who have warranties for roof leakage (one year).

Low cost housing

Two to three bedrooms, one fitted bathroom with splash back tiles, kitchen with sink unit, no stove, combined living area and kitchen (wash basin and electricity supply), no floor covering, construction done by certified builders who have warranties for roof leakage (one year), major structural defects (five years) and non-compliance (three months.)

Economic housing

Two to three bedrooms, one fitted bathroom, kitchen with sink unit, combined living area and kitchen (wash basin and electricity supply), basic finishes, construction done by certified builders who have warranties for roof leakage (one year), major structural defects (five years) and non-compliance (three months.) and minimum 40m² floor area.

Standard

Two to three bedrooms with built-in-cupboards (BICs), one fitted bathroom with wall tiles, kitchen with fitted cupboards, stove, combined living area and kitchen, floor covering (various), construction done by certified builders who have warranties for roof leakage (one year), major structural defects (five years) and non-compliance (three months).

Middle class

Face brick or plastered wall finish outside, middle-of-the-range priced carpets, tiles, one or two bathrooms, kitchen cupboards and fittings, standard design

Luxury

Top-of-the-range interior finishes and fittings of local materials, luxury bathroom fittings, luxury kitchen cupboards. Generally aesthetic  shaped plan and elevations, architectural features, double volume areas and roof lights

Exclusive

As Luxury, but exclusive finishes and fittings throughout - significant percentage imported components, exclusive attention to detail - moulded skirtings, cornices and dados, comprehensive lighting, exclusive tiling patterns and borders, cooling/heating ventilation installation.

Exceptional

Architecturally designed, imported high end finishes (e.g. marble, wood, porcelain with double volume ceilings, chandelier installations, glass walls etc), amenities (e.g. cinemas, in-home gyms, game rooms, media rooms, library, wine cellar, office, private steam room) and conveniences (e.g. centralized air-conditioning, underfloor heating, gas fireplaces, back-up generators, lifts, etc), room etc.
