1. What is the Savings Coach Moneyball auto saver?
The Moneyball auto saver, created by Absa, together with Betway SA20, lets you automatically save every time your favorite cricket team scores a run. It’s a simple, seamless way to grow your savings while you enjoy the game. When your team wins a match, Absa will add R1 for every dot ball bowled (up to R40 per match), giving you an extra boost just for supporting your team.
2. How long will it be available for?
The Moneyball auto saver will be available throughout the Betway SA20 Cricket Tournament, from 26 December 2025 to 25 January 2026.
3. How do I use the auto saver?
All you need to do is link the Moneyball auto saver to a goal in Savings Coach and choose your team before every game.
Don’t have a goal yet? Don’t worry! Setting up a goal is easy. Simply go to Absa Savings Coach from your App and create a goal.
4. How do the dot ball earnings work?
For every dot ball bowled by your selected cricket team, Absa will add R1 (up to R40 per match) to your Savings Coach account if your team wins (the Moneyball reward).
5. What do I need to do to qualify for dot ball earnings?
You must:
- Have an active Savings Coach goal with the Moneyball auto saver linked.
- The savings based on your team’s runs must successfully reflect in your Savings Coach goal (with the Moneyball auto saver linked) to qualify for dot ball earnings.
- Dot ball earnings will only apply if your selected team wins, no funds will be allocated for a draw.
- Be a South African citizen.
- Be 18 years or older.
- Be an Absa transactional account holder in good standing (no arrears or excess).
6. When will I receive my dot ball earnings?
Your earnings will be credited to your savings account within 5 days.
