What you need to know

  • What is it?

    • Once you retire, you need to draw an income from your pension, provident or retirement annuity fund in which you have been investing
    • A Living Annuity allows you to invest your accumulated savings wisely and earn regular retirement income.

    • Helps you consider consumption rates, returns and rising living costs for money longevity
    • Ensures that your capital works for you during retirement.

  • Fees and charges

    Minimum lump sum investment:

    • R 75 000 

    Annual policy charges for investments up to:

    • First: R250 000 – 0.86%
    • Second: R500 000 – 0.57%
    • Above: R750 000 – 0.29%

  • Tax implications

    • No tax is levied on capital appreciation, dividends, interest or rental income received within the product.
    • Income payments are taxed according to your marginal tax rate, according to the prevailing Pay As You Earn (PAYE) tables published by SARS

    To start investing, all you need to do is:
