Absa CIB closes first ever pre-delivery aircraft deal for Angola's TAAG

Alongside our partners, we're proud to be uplifting Angola's economy through concluding the TAAG Linhas Aereas De Angola Deal. As the Mandated Lead Arranger and Facility Agent, our contribution of USD 55m has enabled us to co-finance six De Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft, putting Angola's national airline back on the map.

The bigger win is that this is a deal with a higher purpose. These aircraft are more fuel-efficient, reducing the carbon footprint and fuel costs by 50% annually. That brings us a step closer to playing our part in sustaining the environment.

That's us living the spirit of Africanacity.
