eStatements

 

Go paperless with eStatements from Absa. Save time, hassle, paperwork and the environment.

 

There are no additional costs for this service.

The advantages of eStatements

  • Fast, convenient, easy - You receive your electronic bank statements via e-mail within hours of it being generated, making it easier for you to track your transactions and manage your accounts through your computer at any time.
  • Convenient - Electronic bank statements are sent in a PDF format making them easy to view, save or print at your convenience. You can have all of your eStatements organized in one central location which makes them easy to retrieve.
  • Reduce clutter - Free yourself from posted statements. No more searching. No more boxes full of unwanted paper.
  • Encrypted - Electronic bank statements are password protected, encrypted and digitally signed.
  • Environmentally friendly - Doing away with paper helps to save natural resources.

Your electronic bank statements will be delivered directly to your e-mail inbox. A secondary e-mail address can also be set up if required e.g. for your spouse, accountant or financial adviser.

Which accounts can you receive eStatements for?

 

You can request electronic statements for your Absa current, home loans, and vehicle and asset finance accounts. Absa’s eStatements look exactly like the one’s you receive in the mail. *Terms and conditions apply.

How do I register for eStatements?

 

Three easy ways to register:

 

Internet (Internet Banking customers)

  • Logon to Internet Banking
  • Select the portfolio icon from the top of the Internet Banking landing page
  • Select the eStatement icon from the left of the Portfolio landing page
  • Follow the prompts and select the account/s that you want to receive eStatements for

Telephone (existing Telephone Banking customers)

  • Call 08600 08600.
  • Select language.
  • Select option 1 and follow the voice prompts to logon to Telephone Banking.
  • Select option 9 to speak to a consultant and request the account/s that you want to receive eStatements for.

Registering through a branch
You can also activate eStatements by visiting any Absa branch with your green bar-coded Identity Document and full details of the account/s that you want to receive eStatements for.

Important to note:

 

If you choose eStatements you will no longer receive statements by mail, but you may switch back to physical mail delivery at any time.

 

You will also not receive your old cheques when you activate eStatements. You may, however, request an image of the cheque from your branch on an ad hoc basis*. If you want to continue receiving your old cheques by mail we recommend that you stick to physical mail delivery for now.

Ensure that your inbox is set up to receive your electronic bank statements as spam and junk mail filters may block the delivery of your statements.

 

Always keep your email address up to date
Because we e-mail your statements to you, it’s important that we always have your up-to-date email address.
