NotifyMe from Absa

 

Notify Me is the ideal tool to easily manage your accounts by having an sms transaction history. Each time a transaction takes place on your account Absa will notify you with an SMS or email containing transaction information and your account balance via email or sms. Add to this you can now request your account balances, mini statements and purchase airtime allowing you to have your finger on the pulse.

What accounts can NotifyMe be activated on?

  • Cheque accounts
  • Savings account (including Money Market and Notice Deposits)
  • Credit Cards

What transactions can NotifyMe be activated for?

  • You can be notified on the following transactions
    • All
    • Payments
    • Purchases
    • Withdrawal
    • Transfers
    • Returned Transactions
    • Scheduled Transactions
    • Deposits
    • Balance Updates

 

  • You can be notified of transactions which exceed an amount specified by you. 
  • You can choose a time frame to receive notifications: 24 hours a day, between 6am and 10pm or 8am to 5pm
  • You can choose to send messages on your account to multiple recipients and each recipient can select to receive the messages in English or Afrikaans

How can you check your account balances, view mini statements and purchase airtime?

 

NotifyMe enables you to check your account balances, view mini statements and purchase prepaid airtime by simply dialling *120*Absa# (*120*2272#), key in your 3 digit PIN code, and choose the number option diplayed on the menu.


How do you register for the service?

  • You need to be an existing Absa NotifyMe customer, with up to 5 accounts linked to your NotifyMe profile, and having SMS as your preferred channel of communication.
  • You register by dialling *120*Absa# (*120*2272#) on your cellphone. 
  • Accept the NotifyMe terms and conditions.
  • You will be prompted to enter your identity number to verify your registration. 
  • Your registration will be confirmed, and an SMS will be sent to your cell phone when your service has been activated in 24 hours.
  • Once you receive your activation SMS message, dial *120*Absa# (*120*2272#) and choose a 3 digit PIN code, which you will use for all future logins.
