Cash Rewards from Absa

To earn up to 1% in Cash Rewards on every qualifying transaction (excluding garage card transactions, casinos, Electronic Fund Transfers (EFTs) and exchange transactions), you need to have one transactional product (debit, cheque or credit card) and another type of qualifying product. Please note that multiple products of the same type (for example, having two savings accounts) will count as a single product.

Simply use an Absa card to pay for your purchases, and depending on the number of Absa accounts you hold, you will automatically earn an extra percentage of all purchases back in Cash Rewards, paid directly into your Absa Rewards account. There is no minimum spend amount, so you start earning from R1, and there is no limit to the amount you can earn.

There are different tiers, based on how many accounts you hold across different product categories, which determine what percentage you will earn.

Tier 1: earn 0,25% if you have one transactional account.

Tier 2: earn 0,5% if you have one transactional account and any two qualifying accounts. For example, a credit card, together with a personal loan and vehicle finance.

Tier 3: earn 1% if you have one transactional account and any three or more qualifying accounts. For example, a cheque account, together with a credit card, home loan, vehicle finance, and a savings account.
