Candidate skill and character requirements
To be a financial adviser, you need to have a certain personality and outlook – and we are looking for candidates who have a burning ambition to succeed and thrive in a competitive environment.
You also need to be in the process of completing a degree in various areas of study in commerce, business science, law or marketing; and must be ready to take on a challenging and rewarding career.
Programme breakdown
Be a part of an innovative and comprehensive training program that spans over twelve months, covering areas such as:
- Legal and technical training
- Interpersonal skills
- Business skills
- Entrepreneurial skills
Learning and Development
Coaching and mentoring is an integral part of learning and development, and is at the forefront of thinking in our AIF Academy training programme.
After the initial training period of 12 months, candidates are placed into departments within Absa where you are monitored by development managers to ensure successful transition into the world of financial planning.
During this time you will receive further training in areas such as advanced investment management and business insurance.
As a part of this training programme there are a number of amazing opportunities in areas such as retail, business and private banking.
